| Happy holidays everyone! I love this time of year, and I am so looking forward to going home next week. God has been gracious enough to allow Jared and I to go visit our families for about 9 days. It is so nice that they are close enough together that we can buy plane tickets to one place and drive to visit the other family. As the lower nurse on the seniority list, I will have the pleasure of working Dec. 23-25, and we will fly out at 12:30 Christmas night. I hope there is snow!!! I have to admit that I did break out a sweater to wear today since it was below 50 when we woke up. You have to seize those opportunities when they come!! I'm hoping to post some pictures on here and try to keep up a little more so that friends and family can follow what's going on in sunny LA. I just wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas and say that I am missing the midwest holiday season! | | |
| First, I would like to put everyone's mind at ease and let them know that I am still alive. (Because I know you were all wondering...All 0 of you that read this.) And second, I would like to inform my audience that I will be in the audience for the Jay Leno show tonight. Look closely, if you're still awake at that hour, and maybe you will see me! | | |
| How old are you supposed to be when your body starts feeling old? Because all I know is that I was in as much pain leaving the gym today, after a pitiful little run on a treadmill, as I used to be in the middle of conditioning for an entire volleyball season. Pathetic. My husband and I have determined to get ourselves back in shape, lose the "marriage weight," and increase our energy, but it hurts! Does anyone else feel old already? I'm still young!!! | | |
| Wow. That's about all I can think of to say about our weekend at Mammoth Mountain. The place is incredible, especially to someone who's been suffering under the California sun every day since August. 18 inches of snowfall over the weekend were welcome with open arms! And even though I've been sledding countless times, I think this one definitely takes the cake. I mean, Indiana isn't exactly known for its huge hills, and sledding down an uninhabited mountain is slightly more exhilirating, even if you are very out of shape! I'll post a few pictures for now, and if you feel compelled to see more, you can check back soon. I'm working on a link to our kodak gallery site. Anyway, enjoy academic meet if you're in Indiana, and I'll be posting soon about introducing my mom to another week of California living next week!

Ok, that's all I have patience for right now. Next week...Disneyland! You gotta love California.

| Wow. I just realized that February 15 was a long time ago. And thus, the last time I blogged was a long time ago. I know, I know...everyone's REALLY busy. But it's hard to post on a website when your husband takes the computer every day, and it's also hard to blog when you're never home! But, this weekend Jared & I are going to Mammoth Mountain to go skiing with some good friends from seminary. And we just bought a digital camera, so tune in soon for some pictures of our amazing weekend! We miss the snow so much, and if we live to see the bottom of the mountain again, I will post an entry about it. So...until then...see you all at 11,000 feet! | | |
